Short version: AR ARTIST is a free web page that puts augmented reality effects on your camera. There is no account and nothing to install. Use it respectfully, don’t rely on it for anything critical, and remember that the Lenses themselves come from Snap Inc. and are covered by Snap’s own terms.
These terms are a contract between you and MT Mind (“we”, “us”), the operator of AR ARTIST at ar-artist.com (the “Service”). By opening the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don’t use it.
AR ARTIST is a browser-based augmented reality camera. Scanning the QR code on an AR ARTIST garment, or opening the site directly, loads a page that applies augmented reality effects (“Lenses”) to your device’s live camera using Snap Inc.’s Camera Kit technology. The Service is provided free of charge, requires no account, and installs no application.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly permit their use of it.
The Lenses are created and delivered by Snap Inc. Before the first Lens runs, Snap’s Camera Kit shows you its own terms of service notice and asks you to accept it; if you decline, Lenses will not run, though the plain camera view still works. Your use of the Lenses is additionally governed by:
We do not control the Lenses, Snap’s services, or Snap’s handling of data, and we cannot modify or remove Snap’s notices.
Anything you capture is created locally in your browser and belongs to you. We do not receive, store, or claim any rights in it. When you save or share a capture, it is handed to your own device or to whichever app you choose. You are responsible for what you capture and where you send it, including having the consent of anyone else who appears in it.
You agree not to:
The AR ARTIST name, the garment artwork, the site, and its contents are owned by us or our licensors. The Lenses and Camera Kit are owned by Snap Inc. Snapchat, Snap, and Camera Kit are trademarks of Snap Inc. Nothing here transfers any of those rights to you; you get a personal, non-transferable permission to use the Service as intended.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend, or withdraw it, or any Lens, at any time and without notice. Augmented reality depends on your device, browser, and network, and we don’t promise it will work on every device or without interruption.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid to use it — which is nothing.
Use common sense with an AR camera: pay attention to your surroundings, and don’t use the Service while driving or anywhere it would be unsafe to be looking at a screen.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
We may update these terms. When we do, the “last updated” date above changes with them, and continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated version.
